About Us

This site is dedicated to the memory of Doris Sieck Dubac, a founding and sustaining member of this book group. For the early years of this group, Doris faithfully kept a up-to-date list of all the books we had read. That list later became the backbone of this website. As Doris found interesting and pertinent articles and interviews related to the mystery genre, she always shared them with us. Thank you, Doris; you will be missed but I hope your spirit will still grace our gatherings.

Mysteries Around the World is a mystery book club, hosted by Starr Library in the lovely town of Rhinebeck, NY, that meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. This site will include a list of the books we have read, resources we have found and other information about mystery books published around the world.

There are links at the top of each page to a list of the books we have read since the club first met in October, 2017 and resources we frequently use, such as newsletters, web sites and author web sites and interviews. Fun Fact: did you know that there are actually FULL length audiobooks available for free on YouTube?
